Fun with Decimals!

This week, Room 2 had the help of four awesome student teachers from University of Auckland  to help us to learn more about Decimal Place Value. They worked hard to come up with a learning experience on a new site especially for the students in Room 2!

They designed a set of activities to give students plenty of practise on how to order decimal numbers up to 3 decimal places. By the end of the week, the students were showing lots of confidence in their understanding and use of tenths, hundredths and thousandths!

Check out the video to see how much fun Room 2 had playing a dice game called Place the Digits. There was some fierce competition to find out who was the Decimal Master with the largest decimal number!
